DiSEqC switchesFor switching between 2 or 4 LNBs
A DiSEqC switch is applied when using 2 universal LNBs. In principle, a DiSEqC switch works as a tone-switch, but if you connect an universal LNB, 22 kHz tone is used for switching between low band and high band. A DiSEqC switch should be used between the two LNBs.
From the receiver a data signal is sent through the coaxial cable to the DiSEqC switch. The data signals are constructed so that pulses of 22 kHz tones are sent in a specific order. This is being identified by the DiSEqC switch, wich then switches to the correct position wich will be maintained untill another DiSEqC signal is identified. In this way the original 22 kHz tone can be used for switching between the low band and high band of the universal LNB.
